Nichols was a reporter for nine years during her stint with ESPN in which she won the two Emmy Awards, and featured on a number of the network's best programs like NFL Countdown and SportsCenter. The Monday Night Football coverage as the team's reporter was an integral one of the areas she worked at the network. Next was CNN followed by Turner Sports. Unguarded: Rachel Nichols hosted her own show on CNN International. The show had more than 1 billion viewers across the globe. Nichols worked for TNT as a journalist and reporter on NBA games that included regular season, playoffs as well as All Star television broadcasts. Apart from the reporting on TBS, she also covered baseball and golf broadcasts and Final Four on CBS. It was only the second time in the company's 42 years that a women had been chosen from over 200 nominations.
